I get your point of help the guild and the guild will help you, but there is a difference between earning loot through raiding and having someone loan you a personal item.
That being said, you don't sell raid loot in Asgard either unless it's something from a non DKP event...so CoF is a bad example cause u can sell this and no one will care.
