I'm not sure to what extent I skew the demographic (or maybe I'm the norm?). My wife and I had not tried EQ before a month ago. We played EQ2 for a few months about 4 years ago with some guys from work and then stopped. Last month, some of the same guys got on p1999 and then got me interested. My wife and I play just about daily now.
I don't want to give the impression that we haven't played RPGs: We played Baldur's and Neverwinter back in '99, have played WoW and EQ2, EVE, PerfectWorld for a while, but lately we play more RTSs esp. DotA2 than anything else. For whatever reason, we didn't get around to EQ classic until now, which is great because it's all new for us now! I do tend to erroneously right-click on things a lot
