What Karsten said. You're definitely not alone. I never got really far in Live and am having a blast doing things I didn't get a chance to see back in 1999.
There's so many really good guilds and people on the server. Just ask anyone around your level if they can get you in contact with an officer and you'd be welcome to tag along to most raids.
My guild for instance, being a casual raid style guild, still manages to raid almost daily. We do planar clears, sometimes up to 2 or more raids per day, have people on at all hours of the day and night, and have a few big kills under our belts. We all still manage to stay really close leveling up alts and grouping up for things.
But like I said there's a lot of really great guilds on the server and everyone is having tons of nostalgic fun. I hope you find your home with someone and, Welcome back!
