Med-rare works for me.

I'm a medium-well guy, but nobody knows how to cook medium-well or gives a shit about watching the stove in a big kitchen (even steakhouses can't do a medium-well) so I learned to enjoy it well done.

Medium is out of the question for me. Will not eat.
