^ is not an situation that makes sense when talking about "beggars can't be choosers."

Beggars can't be choosers means that a starving person can't complain when they are offered something to eat, even if that something is a food that they dislike the taste of. The phrase does not mean that someone who is poor can't complain about a 2-hour wait to be seated at Olive Garden... and then that person goes to McDonalds to eat instead because at least they have seating for her AND her boyfriend.
