As a player with mage & shaman experience I believe it does help to make your pet sit. It seems that the HP goes up quicker. It just seems less noticeable when the pet's at the natural 30 regen (mage at least)
I would also like to add a question to this thread.
Does making your pet sit help their mana regen faster?
Mage pets and enchanter charms specifically.
