I would also like to remind people to please be civil. This thread is not a rant and flame. I truly care about the health of the server and feel that these names hinder peoples playing experience. |
I'm convinced this is a sophisticated trolling attempt; because out of that whole list you posted there are maybe 3 names at most that I would change if I was a GM for violating trademarks. Those situations could be fixed in most cases by eliminating the last name. I'm not going to point these out though because I'm not a name snitch.
Much of what you listed does not violate the policy at all. Greenloaf? Ccooke? Trivia? Whispershadow? Those would have all been legit even on live servers with a GM looking on. You probably have petitioned so many that they dont even look at your petitions anymore, trusting that someone saner will petition when a player actually does violate the policy by naming themselves "fuckface" or something like that.
Funny thing here is that while playing on p99 you do occasionally run into low level characters with offensive names including profanity or slurs, yet you have not petitioned even one of those? Those get deleted or changed quickly because they're actual violations.
