Any player who claims that as a bard back in classic they were able to swarm many many mobs and that this nerf is unfair is lying.
Why? Because swarming isn't AE kiting, they're two completely different techniques. Swarming involves charm, and isn't really possible on p99 because of bad social aggro code. This is what was popular in classic.
AE kiting came along much later and didn't really become problematic/popular until PoP, where it was nerfed 3 times until they finally got it right.
