Halfling races were pretty fun, but I still had to find that mask the iksar had told me about! With it I could "help" so many other cities of their shields!.....So I left the halflings and continued my adventure!
It wasn't so hard, the Iksar had pretty good directions. Just past the desert of Ro and in the middle of a swamp.... I found it....

I was surprised to see frog people! Even more surprised was that they didn't try to attack me! No sneaksing required! It was obvious they didn't know I was after their legendary mask.
Seeing as I was likely the first person to every encounter these creatures....it was up to me to name them.....feople seemed right.

Inside the feople city I inconspicuously asked around, making sure not to tip anyone off to why I was there...
"So....have you seen a magic mask that turns people into dark elves around?"
"What?! Only the ghoul assassin has such a thing! In the lower parts of the city! You are after it aren't you? Trying to rob us?!"
"I'm not! I was just asking for a friend!"
"Ok then"
It was a close call, but nothing my quick thinking couldn't handle. I had all the information I needed....it was time to find this assassin....
Since the feople didn't mind me around, it didn't take that long till I found the passage to the lower part of the city.

The ghouls seemed a lot meaner than the living feople. So I didn't bother asking them any questions.....it was time to put my sneaksing skills into action. All the none sneaksing above felt unnatural!
I explored a while, sneaking past bats...and skeletons....
Then I heard it...the sounds of battle coming from down the hall!!! I snuck to see what was happening. Though when I got there all I found was an undead dead feople....

But he had a bag!!! Free ground treasure!!!! The best kind of treasure!!!!
I continued searching around...climbing a nearby ladder into a small room.
That is when I saw it....a giant ogre!!! He musta been the one that got into a fight with the feople below!

"Me see you gnome..."
"You don't see noffin!! Also! I'm not givin it back!!"
"Give back?"
"The bag! It's mine!"
"I no care bout bag. I look for belt."
"Ok! I'll help you find a belt for a little bit if you help me find a mask!"
"Ya, ok, I no want masks, I want belt."
Ogres seemed to really like belts....but it worked out for me! Now we just had to set a trap and wait till an assassin walked by! Then do a reverse-ambush on him!!!
So we waited.....eventually another ogre showing up too....

Then...out of nowhere....the feople assassin appeared!! It was so sneaksy I didn't even sense it coming!!!
Lucky for the ogres, I was ready and sprung into action with my daggers! They could beat the other feople that showed up ok....but everyone knows only a rogue can fight a rogue!!
It was a pretty good fight, no ogres or gnomes died.....and in the end....we had defeated the feople assassin!

The ogres didn't have much interest in the re-dead feople....so I rummaged around in its mouth (where obviously feople keep extra things) and pulled out a rather unassuming mask....was this it?
I slipped it on and.....poof! I turned into a dark elf!!!

At last! I had found the legendary mask!!!!
I waved goodbye to the ogres and wished them good luck with the belt finding.....I'd been down in the city for what musta been days!!
It was time to see if this masked really fooled anyone.....I approached a troll camp out in the swamp wearing the mask apprehensively....even looking like a dark elf, a gnome is still a gnome.....
