I'm sure it's not "inherently" more important but I still choose to prioritize human happiness over either of those things. I don't think it's evil to organize the material plane around serving sentient intelligence.
The problem lies in the definition of happiness. Most people confuse sensation with the true happiness that comes from going vegetarian and bathing in the visible abs light like your boy J.
babylon state religion uses the statement I made in paragraph 1 here as justification for slashing and burning, torturing livestock, polluting the character of human civilization with locustlike consumption at any spiritual price so the pyramid can keep getting taller. Living in this moral/ethical desert does not increase human happiness. Cheap pork rinds increase human happiness less than knowing how they were procured decreases it. The people directly involved in it are psychically polluted, pitiable entities. Net negative. I wish everyone would smoke the peaceful herb just one time so we could finally see the error of our track and move forward as one woke species.
