Although I understand your feelings, my account was made in 2014, I only played for several weeks and then had to stop due to real life issues. Now I am back and re-rolled a fresh character and this time I have 2 others with me that are new, my gf having never played EQ before in her life. So honestly, its like my gf and sister won and I am the one with enough knowledge with how to use the funds to develop their young EQ careers. As I said before, it WILL be paid forward. I have already given out handfuls of plat to various newbies we have passed so far.
Anyway, thanks to all for the congrats. All I can honestly say is that unlike a lot of people I know that would be happy to have won, not many TRULY appreciate the gesture and the help like we do. It really means the world to us and honestly I think it could of made the difference between these girls wanting to stay and make it to level 60 and attain their first epic, or getting frustrated before they made it to double digits and move on.
As I am sure many of you know, most of the gamers these days are used to fast paced, low risk, high reward, instant gratification type of MMO's. Without some heart and dedication, it can be a tall order to get someone who has never been through the tests and trials of EverQuest before to fight through the hard part and stick it out to enjoy pixels of their labor.
So far in the two evenings we have played, we have managed to make it to level 6 (first 4 hours were spent getting us all together and buying backpacks, food, spells etc.) hunting in Toxxulia Forest and recently broke ground in the Warrens tonight. We are motivated and excited to make our mark on P99 and hopefully become valued members of the community.
Anyway, thanks again to the Targaryens for planting the seed to their EQ future, it will not be forgotten and I can't wait for us to all be 60, doing our own gift raffle here.

@HouseTargaryen - thanks for running the raffle i may not have won but it did make me decide to just start the sk and slog through without the gear advantage. Im going to try a Erudit in the warrans as ive never leveled there before, so thanks for the nudge.

Orrus, thats exactly where we are leveling. If you need help with spells and a set of banded along with a decent SK weapon, we are more than happy to have you be the first person we share with. Send a tell to my main "Fafurion" if you happen to see me on. We actually could use a tank as we are an Enchanter, Necromancer, Cleric trio. Good luck!
