High-level characters farming giants are most likely trying to get ahold of Forest Loops (
http://wiki.project1999.org/index.php/Forest_Loop) and Gem Encrusted Rings (
http://wiki.project1999.org/index.ph...Encrusted_Ring).
Particularly the latter, as they are slated to be removed from the game (or at least made way harder to get, I forget which) before long.
