Welcome to EQ! Just want to say.. the game can be brutal.. and feel slow.. but it is also the most rewarding since you generally have to work for items (unless some bored high lvl just hands you stuff.. ) My best advice to anyone in this game.. be social.. make friends. Friends and grouping is the #1 thing that made EQ great. I have only been on this server for a week myself and have met some great people i talk to all day already [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

P.S. you picked a seriously hard class to play.. there is alot going on with a bard and no downtime.. That being said.. If you can play a bard well.. you will be a god. If you don't. well.. you will just die alot.

Hey, I'm completely sheltered to the EQ scene. I used to play AC (Ashersons Call) a bit until the servers went down and thought I'd give the server a shot. Though I'm not sure where I'm headed or what I'm doing. Saw something about being able to try out the tutorial to get to know the basics but didn't see that on character creation screen.

I rolled a Half Elf Bard on the Project 1999 (1): The Scars of Velious server. The controls feel a bit weird to me and seems like there is alot of UI elements that'd I'd need to familiar myself to.

If there's anyone that would be kind enough to help me learn a few things or show me around thatd be great!

Sincerely
Rubiwen, The Bard
