And how does it do that? The things about Obamacare that caused increases in premiums (forcing a bunch of sick old obese people into the pool of insured and capping their rate, foremost) remain unchanged in the proposed legislation, unless your state opts out. And it sounds like you're in a blue state that won't opt out.
Basically the fact that insurance companies are forced by the government to offer insurance to diabetics and heart attack survivors rather than letting them die, is a large part of what is raping your premiums. AHCA does nothing about this for someone in a blue state. And by the way this isn't going to change until you start controlling the highly inflated cost of healthcare services by cutting out insurance middlemen and reforming pharmaceutical law. Or until you start letting people die again like before obamacare.
