Torp shaman would be really annoying. You're looking at a 20dps buffed pet plus your dots to counter mob regen. It's possible but terribly inefficient. If you get 2 mobs ... have fun juggling them both for 30 minutes while killing at an even more snail-ish pace.
There are much better things a torp shaman could do with their time.
