Yes, but make sure your eating at least 1300 for the best deficit math. You don't want to go down to 700 and put your metabolism on ice.
Also if you are only eating 1300 calories and not eating health foods...your going to feel starving all the time, your skin is going to get fucked up and its not healthy. You wont put on any muscle without enough protein.
So why it is calories stupid -- its also important to pay attention to what you spend those calories on.
