a hell of a lot of intelligent people fell for the college scam before it became so obvious that the cost-to-reward is shit, and for the most part it only served to disadvantage them. they're typically still successful, but they would have been anyways with a half decade and no debt advantage. only a few years ago college didn't seem too bad.

in 4-6 years you can put a whole lot more impressive shit on a resume than a college degree, and get paid to do it. after your first big kid job, at most, your degree will probably never matter in an employment decision. if you have a real job and you need a degree your employer'll probably pay for your school lol. its 2018 if you think you need to shill out 50 grand to network with people who may or may not end up in your industry you're a chump. if you want to network with blue hair girls with he/him/they/them pronouns named Ayden who dont shave their arm pits and smell like rat bedding who have undetectable gonnorhea, who are going to end up working the poles on 5th avenue for the next decade then college campuses are great for you i guess. get a twitter and be sociable and work a job in the industry you want to be in. or get in a training program. read books. if you're too socially retarded for that college will never help you anyways.
this post is illuminating.

for the kids out there, though - with a nameschool you can v easily break even w just a stem bachelor's, even working outside ur field. the free time and available young twinks therefore make it a pretty decent option compared with early years doing long hours shoveling computer ditches etc. If u realize along the way that ur a born boss who doesn't intend to endure 6 to 10 further years of torture after undergrad just to become a highly paid servant like Papa Tex's kid, I recommend coasting through a degree that makes u sound smart while you work on making your abs visible or more visible or maybe less if thats your aesthetic. Business school at a connected nameschool is also pretty fucking good if you can extrovert and are comfortable doing talmud dogwhistles. Goodluck
