Currently, robe of living fungus has a regen passive effect just like the fungus tunic.
In classic, before the effect was removed entirely, it was a clickable fungal regrowth spell just like that on the fungus covered great staff.

I logged on my monk all excited after waiting to play for 6 hours today. I try to cast fungal regrowth on myself using my robe and nothing happens.
The regen component of that spell is stronger than chloroplast. The snare component is negligible for the monk since they can feign. That's why we wouldn't intentionally give it to a monk.
