Try zoning in windowed mode. See if the same thing happens.
Run a cleanboot. Go to start/search or run and type MSCONFIG. In msconfig go to the Startup tab, disable all, reboot, and test it. If you keep having the issue check the date of your video card driver. Go to start/search or run and type DXDIAG. In the Display tab it will list the name of your video card driver and the date near the bottom.
