PoK books are incredible and help facilitate grouping in obscure locations. I’m far more likely to run to a Runnyeye group at level 10 from Crushbone when I can just click the Kelethin book and click the Rivervale book and be there in 5 minutes.
You don’t have to waste a Druids time for this sort of travel and you are able to adventure in many different dungeons you likely wouldn’t have on your leveling path due to how time consuming travel can be when you run.

The problem was, little things like this are what took away that feeling of EQ. You took away the need to depend on others, things that made classes unique... It's making things easier that ended up putting EQ on the path to everybody soloing.. The game started losing what made it special. Interaction with people.
