If you liked the DE shadowknight enough to reach 22, I'd recommend either continuing with that character or re rolling to a Troll shadowknight for the slam, MUCH better physical stats and Regeneration. It's really, really strong. While you don't get Invis until later on, you can pick up a nerfed Circlet of Shadows for invis very cheap to have access to Gather Shadows 10 levels before you get it off your spell list.
If you insist on going Shaman instead, which has their own hard time of solo fighting until 24 (gets slightly better) and then 34 (feels like an actual full class then), I would again advise going with the Troll. Slam, Regen, and Innoruuk worshipers access the snare necklace was is marginally useful for leveling up to 24. They also can use the Jaundiced Bone Bracer (moderately to very useful item Iksar miss out on) AND they gain repeatable access to a 1 shot Halfling Illusion mask from the Innoruuk neck quest so they can cheat some faction for certain quest turn ins.
