I wish the corporate Democrats were just honest and said that's why they don't want to do medicare for all. The fact is -- an entire industry would be eliminated and its going to be a bit of painful adjustment.

No one talks about this because politicians are still avoid the subject of private health insurance in public.

Thats the problem though. We need to bury an industry and people that have their health insurance (often paid on company dollar and slowing the economy) really would rather not. But unless everyone gets those cadillac plans..or at least like 60% of people...its not sustainable from a public opinion perspective.

Do you think the gig economy generation is going to be getting those god damn health plans? Nah -- if nothing else private insurance is doomed once the boomers pass.
how large is the medical sector in trillions? nationalization means capital doesn't come back on the near side of regime change
