Yes and Ill never forget how. When I was young I got a part time job at a kitchen and the first question the chef asked me is if I knew how to make a roux. I responded. That's kind of like a gravy I think. flower mixed with a fat usually whats left over after a roast in my mind and turned into a sauce or gravy.
