Shame no one answered you but the drama threads are alive and kicking.
If you don't have time to group then I suggest a class that can solo effectively.
Enchanters can solo very well but have a pretty high skill cap and need charisma for many of their spells to work without breaking, High Elf is a good race for the enchanter.
The necromancer can also solo well, class choice is up to you, I would recommend a class with high starting int but anything goes until Kunark when Iksar prevails.
The magician is also a good choice, especially if you like pet classes, as they're dependant on them and most of the damage comes from your pet. Race choice doesn't matter much here.
The druid can solo as well although not as effectively as the classes I already mentioned.
Welcome to the server, and hope you enjoy your time here. I've heard that the community on green is mostly ok, but you may run into a few bad apples here and there, but that's expected. Have fun!
