alot of people tend to dump wisdom, not only does it have an effect on your mana pool, it has an effect on the chances of spells being "resisted"
being a generally larger race. as all shamans are. you don't have the most base wis to start with, as far as gear goes. you can always max out wisdom eventually with items, then start switching off to +HP +STA +AC items or w/e works in the end. but for now. being a first run toon. that extra mana will most certainly make the world of difference in difficult fights.
with a shammy/warrior duo, you're obv going to spend more time dpsing from afar with your ass on the ground for the most part. imho,
