Personally, I made a cool microwave grilled cheese sorta sandwich out of toasted bread and delux american and the cheese puffed nicely and the bread stayed nice and crispy and toasty, it was artfully done without a recipe or exact measurements. Potato bread was used and I watched carefully as the cheese was energized to the exact amount that I wished. Finding a way to incorporate a form of buttery flavoring without sogginess is the next step. I think the way to do it is to melt some butter after the microwaving process and gently paint the outside of the toast with a slight amount and let it dry.
