The incubation period for COVID-19 (i.e. the time between exposure to the virus and the onset of symptoms) is currently estimated to be between one and 14 days.
Also, i lived in Japan for 6 years. The vast majority of people there wear masks even they're not sick. Ever been on a rush hour tokyo train? You may wish you had a mask on.
