This is absurd. Trump specifically said to be peaceful, they snip out the phrase "fight like hell" as if every politician ever essentially hasn't said those words, and the "insurrection" amounted to police literally opening the doors of congress and allowing people to come inside as in some kind of museum tour. Yes a handful of people got rowdy, but the only person actually killed was one of the protesters. Please don't pretend you care about cops only when it suits you to do so.
People make the argument that it was extra egregious because it was a federal building. Please. The first amendment specifically outlines your right to protest the government. What, are they just supposed to not do that at
government buildings?? That's maybe the one place you *should* do it, rather than burning down some random mom and pop store owned by immigrants because capitalism bad, ala BLM.
