Accepting refugees(asylum seekers) is part of the agreement we all made(Western nations) after WW2 - it's legal immigration with a limit. You could definitely say asylum policy is (or was?) being abused, but building a wall fixes nothing and is a waste of time and resources(now and future).

Yeah all it takes is a little word re-defining, considering the original definition of asylum was used to define those fleeing a war-torn country such as Syria. It has never meant to mean those fleeing some bad crime, although less crime than places like Chicago or Baltimore (yep, those have a higher murder rate than El Salvador, lol), and it especially was never meant to mean ducking ECONOMIC REFUGEES, which is what all of the asylum seekers truly are
