I mean the fact you got that months ago is even more promising.

I'm frustrated because i was hoping for an economic collapse but if people making mid 50s are getting inflation matching cost of living increases then things are going to probably work out just fine.
Other positions got less though, so I don’t think it has anything to do with cost of living raises

I’ve been at the same place so long I don’t know if other jobs in other fields do market analysis adjustments yearly. It seems like a smart strategy to retain employees since the most common reason for leaving somewhere is finding a better paying same position elsewhere
