Barbarians should be evil but are somehow good. The best class combo for them is rogue for uber STR but it makes no sense flavor wise for a big ass dude to be deft of hands.

EQ rogues are often treated in-game as brigands and roughnecks. Barbarians fit with that interpretation of the class well enough. Regardless of how the official out-of-game game lore treats them, in-game I regard barbarians more as neutral than good. Rogues aren't saints, a lot of their warriors follow Rallos, and even the Tribunal is portrayed as motivated by vengeance as much as by justice.

For my part I don't particularly trust gnomes. For whatever reason they seem to attract a much higher proportion of annoying twits playing them than other races seem to.
