Yeah I was joking, probably a good idea for scotus to dodge it and to leave interpretation sorta undecided. My problem with this... or like last week when whatever city declared you can legally and (ideally) safely do drugs at X location, is it promotes the problem. Yeah I think its a good idea if you built some sort of facility for the homeless citizens of Sacramento, but if you are officially declaring free homes and likely some lawsuit money then a lot of homeless people from elsewhere will be moving in soon. Like why not ask Salvation Army what they'd do with an extra couple million in the budget instead of having the government get their hands into something that no one actually wants to deal with. ..I mean I guess the answer is because it looks great on a political campaign.
Serious question: Are there any cities in the US that have done the, 'you can safely do illegal drugs here' thing that have seen benefits to it? Like decreased use or decreased deaths? Maybe I just never think that stuff works because I'm from California and I've seen how those kind of policies have worked out in the long run.
