you're right, gas was cheap under trump, its always cheap when a republican is in office.
the thing is tho, its easy to drive energy prices down in the short term, but the market has to rebound eventually, otherwise the cumulative losses become a mountain.
then you factor in issues that aren't economic, like political winds and favors, and the issues surrounding energy cost and production gets very very murky, so when questioned, all you get are politician answers.
im not saying i like this, its just reality. from the hot dog vendor on the street, all the way up to OPEC, there are factors that govern pricing outside the bounds of cash between hands.
