I played a lot of Asheron's Call and DAoC back when they were crowded, but only scratched the surface of eq.
Found out about eq emu from a friend but have been turned off by private servers in the past, but when I found out about project 1999 I was giddy with excitement at the prospect of reliving part of the golden age of MMOs.
Anyway, Ive been soloing for about a week and am now level 9 with my Dark-Elf Necromancer and have about 150p saved up in my coffers.

Its been challenging to say the least, with death after death.. Many resulting from hostile NPCs jumping through walls and such. (I know better now.. I think)
Anyway..
I'm really new to all the ins and outs of EQ, and would appreciate any help ranging from advice to new friends to group with.
Now level 8 again.. Damn lions..
