It's so strange that being "cheap" is considered an insult. I look at people IRL that spend beyond their means on things like cars, takeout food, high end phones, and I can't help feel pity. Is the smug self-satisfaction of giving waiters 40% tips worth not having a nest egg for when you're too old to work? I don't get it.
And yes, we're talking about a game here, but the same general principle applies.
If me tipping the minimum
acceptable amount for ports makes me cheap in your eyes, then so be it. I don't really respect people that make poor financial decisions, and it's hard to feel insulted by someone you don't respect.
