I’ve heard it all and it has framed my thinking on this topic. On the one hand, if you work, even as a janitor or garbage man, we need you and your civic participation should entitle you to a minimum level of privilege that neither leaves you miserable or unhealthy. At the same time, we are a people who live on the exploitation of others. And I don’t mean race or any of that, I mean a mechanic will lie to a woman and a plumber will say things need repairs that don’t. Everyone wants a buck and increasingly, people like Alphys don’t want to work at all
