Protip, we're always heading toward a civilizational collapse. Wtf do you think the meaning of the triptych "The Garden of Earthly Delights" insinuates? A system is built, with traditions and background lore supporting the traditions. Retards pull at the seams of the systems saying they're "just social constructs" until entropy has destroyed so much of the order that chaos forces humanity into war, after which a system of order is put into place and the process starts all over again.
Also it gets really tiring hearing dumbasses equate Earth with "a rock" like it's completely banal and life only begins when we "escape this rock". Where are you gonna go live? Mars? It's an inhabitable wasteland? Would you prefer to "live" on Sol? The entire premise of the concept is purely retarded. Plus, even if we mastered interstellar travel tomorrow (which is theoretically impossible to do within a human lifetime due to the mass energy equivelence principle) who's to say YOU would be selected for egress from "this rock"? Are you the pinnacle of the human species or something?
Nah, bro. You're here. You were born here on this rock, you'll die here on this rock.

it was the royal "us" i was referring to. the actual species. the most gifted and brightest escape to mars or other off world colonies while we the rest of us die and they construct a generation ship to make it to Tau Ceti where we have a 2nd chance to not completely fuck up and learn from the hard lessons won here, from there idk star trek shit maybe. or just a better civilization than the one we got here.
