Yeah you should look into the unity of opposites link I post d, and the concept of Unus Mundus. Seems to be the universal thread of Christianity, Judaism (Tikkun Olamism), Daoism, as well as mithraism, Zoroastrianism, and a number of the alchemical spiritual schools such as Freemasonry, rosicrucianism, Manichaeism etc. Aquinas, Nicholas of Cusa, plotinus, and a lot of the ancient Greeks wrote on it.
