I once went on a raid in CoM, and everyone was doing this "jump and levitate to an outcropping" thing.
Everyone on the raid could do it just fine ... except my Gnomish ass. My guild just watched and shook their heads as I failed, over and over. Eventually I think I wound up getting CotHed (which was extra embarrassing, because my Gnome is a Magician, and should have been the one doing the CotHing).
Now, I'm a terrible player (eg. I'm not great in Velks either) ... but it's nice to know that it was at least partly because of my vertical impairment
