An enchanter alone can absolutely kill vessel,for what it's worth.
I know a level 51 that did it,but I wouldn't rely on that. If your 55+ it's very doable
You need:
Wand of allure, this is the only way to survive a charm break during the fight
Reaper of the dead,this is just incase something goes bad. Sometimes vessel rips your pet up and you need a reaper to save the fight,or a charm break happens and you need to heal yourself .
I like using throw away pet gear to reduce it's Mr a bit. Adamantite bands and rusty shoulders help alot for -30mr and a few hundred pp


Using a crusader,Golia is popular. Make sure you start with a recant magic and a theft of thought.
Your going to chain rune 5 your pet during the fight to keep him ahead,until your out of mana.
The recant is just to strip his damage shield,which really adds up.
Beyond that,it's just charm luck.
I have solo vessel several times for myself and friends,it's. Very doable. Sometimes you'll still die, even with all the prep
