Let's try to salvage this mess. I should have made two separate threads...

Please disregard the sections marked 'OOE Items.' I misunderstood how EQTraders documented NPC inventories in the beginning. Apologies. It's probably most constructive to simply focus on NPCs and tradeskill objects for this issue.

Additional evidence of the Dec2001 changes to Oggok:

This is for all those struggling to do trade skills. In Oggok there are the following items to do tradeskills in: an oven, a forge, a brew thingie, a pottery wheel and kiln, a cultural forge, and vendors with small sewing kits. There are NO vendors that sell the items you need for any of these skills (except casks and bottles). For Ore, Clay, and brewing materials, you must head over to Grobb. For pottery sketches, you must head over to S. Ro. For smithing molds, go to the vendors in Feerrott (west of the bridge). For baking supplies, talk to the guy outside the hut if you take the left fork in the road twice. In Grobb: for brewing materials, go right at the warriors guild (toward the bar), go around behind, and the vendor to your right has brewing stuff. By the Casks and Bottles from Brokk Boxtripper in Oggok, for better prices, and so you can buy more supplies, as casks do not stack. For Ore and Clay, go straight through the city toward the SK guild. When you cross the bridge, there is a vendor next to a cart. He has small pieces of ore, small bricks of ore, and (I think) Large Bricks of Ore. He also sells various sizes of clay. In S. Ro, there are evil merchants in the middle of the desert. Be careful when buying there, as there are LOTS of wandering MOBs there that WILL take advantage of the fact that you are not paying attention. If you need locations of/directions to any of the items I've listed, just post and I'll get them to you.

You can find the basic blacksmithing book outside of Oggok to the right of the trail. Look around and you will find it. You can get some basic supplies by going to Grob (the troll city). A troll outside of the shadow night guild sells ore, forging and smithy hammers, and sharpening stones.

Well.... There is supposedly a merchant in the middle of South Ro that sells
sketches and sells to evil races. I haven't gone there yet because so far I
have been able to get friends of mine to buy the sketches for my in
Freeport. If this merchant does exist I would like to know also and if
there are any other evil merchants out there who sell sketches I would like
to know that.

I am relatively new to playing EQ and I have gained 9th level with my
Troll warrior. I want to take a break from the constant slaying of
orcs, tarantulas and giant snakes to make some money at a trade, but
to my dismay you can't actually do any of the trades (save fishing) in
Grobb. Grobb contains no kiln, smithy, oven, pottery wheel, and the
merchant only sells small sewing kits not large ones. Could anyone
give me suggestions on how to make a little cash as a Troll, maybe I'm
overlooking something, but it seems Trolls have it tough trade wise.

Is there an oven, forge, or still anywhere in Grobb? I tried baking with the fires in the prison area, across from the execution block, but couldn't get them to open up when I clicked on them.

The answer to your question is no, no, and no.
This has been repeatedly fed back to Verant by me
and many others. It makes no sense for a city to
have vendors selling supplies for a trade skill,
but no way to practice the trade. Most of the
cities in the game have this problem with one or
more of the trade skills. The nearest forge is
in Oggok, but I don't know if there is an oven
or still there...both are available in Neriak
however.

Proposed Changes
- Remove OOE Oggok NPCs: Pordopa, Korgag Swillchugger, Helgara Dirtcarver, Kerplooe Dirtcarver, Blergerda, and Gretamog
- Remove OOE Grobb NPCs: Blergagg, Garklog, Vynugga
- Remove OOE Grobb tradeskill objects: Brew Barrel, Standard Forge, Kiln, Pottery Wheel
- Adjust Grabah's herb inventory to match sources above (The end result should be: Grabah in Grobb has one herb inventory; Garakbar in Oggok has the other)
