Had a work request to do a critical incident stress debriefing for a wife that just lost her husband about an hour ago. She lived out in the boonies and didn’t need any counselor support, she had her family there already waiting for the medical examiner
So that was an easy call. But I was left way out in the sticks afterwards, and I noticed a parking spot for a River with a trailhead on my way out. So I went to check it out

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] The wild horses actually freaked me out because they were rushing right at me when I was at the river. I was thinking oh shit, do horses charge and attack? Is this typical horse behavior? Should I make myself large and shout?
But then they turned about 10 feet from me and got a drink. Turns out they didn’t give a shit about me. I wanted to try to mount and ride one but didn’t have enough time. I hear if you can land squarely on their back on your first mount attempt they will let you ride them
