I've had my fair share of fruitless arguments with DSM but he went "are these the facts, these are my numbers and if all that is true then how do we explain this?". No need to call him names.
The argument "everybody knows this" on here is basically the lowest proof value on the totem pole since in the last year only we've seen popular knowledge being wrong a couple of times on critical mechanics so can't blame him for asking
why.
