This in-era list matches the casing of the names in the June 2002 table but includes an "a" in the name.

FV Fishing Trip (Fetid Bass Findings)

I burnt through 7 stacks of bait in FV yesterday at skill 168-175, and thought I'd post what I found about the fish there.

It looks like there's one fetid bass there for every weight from 0.1-2.5, plus the rare Fresh Fish and that No Drop fish (Sewer Catfish?). The tiny, large and giant Fetid Bass were much less common for me than the others. About 15% of my catch were feast-classed fish.

Here's how they're named and how sustaining they are:

wt 0.1 = a tiny Fetid Bass, snack
wt 0.2 = a 2lb Fetid Bass, meal
wt 0.3 = a 3lb Fetid Bass, meal
wt 0.4 = a 4lb Fetid Bass, meal
wt 0.5 = a 5lb Fetid Bass, hearty meal
wt 0.6 = a 6lb Fetid Bass, hearty meal
wt 0.7 = a 7lb Fetid Bass, hearty meal
wt 0.8 = a 8lb Fetid Bass, hearty meal
wt 0.9 = a 9lb Fetid Bass, hearty meal
wt 1.0 = a 10lb Fetid Bass, banquet
wt 1.1 = a 11lb Fetid Bass, banquet
wt 1.2 = a 12lb Fetid Bass, banquet
wt 1.3 = a 13lb Fetid Bass, banquet
wt 1.4 = a 14lb Fetid Bass, banquet
wt 1.5 = a 15lb Fetid Bass, feast
wt 1.6 = a 16lb Fetid Bass, feast
wt 1.7 = a 17lb Fetid Bass, feast
wt 1.8 = a large Fetid Bass, hearty meal
wt 1.9 = a large Fetid Bass, hearty meal
wt 2.0 = a large Fetid Bass, meal
wt 2.1 = a large Fetid Bass, meal
wt 2.2 = a giant Fetid Bass, meal
wt 2.3 I didn't catch
wt 2.4 I didn't catch
wt 2.5 = a humongous Fetid Bass, hearty meal

This appears to be a setup guide for an incomplete EQ emulator using data from ShowEQ. Its last update is 7/30/2001, though the data doesn't appear to include Velious. In most cases, this would be a less than useful source, however, it does contain the following in its item database:
Code:
...
14917 - a large Fetid Bass
14918 - a large Fetid Bass
14918 - a giant Fetid Bass
...
14940 - a humongous Fetid Bass
...
14967 - a tiny Fetid Bass
...
14981 - a small Fetid Bass
14982 - a small Fetid Bass
14983 - a small Fetid Bass
14984 - a small Fetid Bass
14985 - a small Fetid Bass
14986 - a small Fetid Bass
14987 - a 8lb Fetid Bass
14988 - a 9lb Fetid Bass
14989 - Fetid Bass
14990 - Fetid Bass
14991 - Fetid Bass
14992 - a 13lb Fetid Bass
14993 - Fetid Bass
14994 - Fetid Bass
14995 - Fetid Bass
14996 - Fetid Bass
14997 - a large Fetid Bass
...
14999 - a large Fetid Bass
...
Perhaps unsurprisingly, not all the bass are accounted for, but the naming scheme is consistent with the Velious-era post above.

It seems there may have actually been "a small Fetid Bass" as well.

Subject: RE: What can you get fishing?

You get many interesting types of fish from the waters in Kunark. You get many different weights of their fetid bass, while pretty cool can be quite a pain cause they dont' stack unless they are the same weight. Also Sewer Catfish, Timorous Tuna, small fetid bass, and the usual fresh fish, daggers, and sandals happy.gif I hear you can catch different stuff in OOT too.

Using Lures, i was catching Fetid Bass that actually showed the weight,
ranging from '2 lb Fetid Bass' to '17 lb Fetid Bass'. When i used regular old
bait or foraged grubs i got a less descriptive Fetid Bass like 'a small Fetid Bass'
or 'a large Fetid Bass'. I wonder if the Lures give you a different fish or if this
was just coincidence.
These are the only two comments I could find that reference it though, and there would still be a question of how much it weighed.

Also, I found a live capture of page 3 of the "New Fish Found" thread on a different ezboard subdomain. It confirms a couple more fish added (Grotto Bluegill, Hatch Dace, Red Roughy).
