mages level really fast, especially if you are just starting. every 4 levels your pet can flat out solo mobs for you, and all you have to do is shield/heal it (and occasionally nuke). I really had no problems defeating yellow con mobs for a long time with a mage.
necro. I don't know as much about them. Can they fight off yellow con mobs? having FeignDeath is pretty nice though.
