Can do without maps, it only worked for starter zones anyway ... can even do without target rings, altho i cant really recall them _not_ being in the game. I didnt start untill late 2000 so it might be that they were introduced soon enough after that.
What bugs me most is the spellsets, as a chanter with s**tloads of spells they helped make grouping less of a pain, i had all 10 spellsets filled up and could easily have filled another 10.
Ya, ya, ya it's not "classic", but neither is _not_ allowing boxing or _not_ releasing epics/VP together with Kunark ... my point is, please stop F'ing the gaming experience, reintroducing these annoying details should be way down the list together with "running servers on hardware from 1999".
I'm guessing the important definition of "classic" for most people is stopping at Velious and NOT releasing Luclin, you dont have to work overtime reintroducing every annoying little detail just because thats how it looked originally ... the gaming experience can never be like it was then (15" monitor anyone?). This server already captured the memory and feel of the original, thats not broken so theres no need to "fix" that.
With that being said; tons and tons of cred to the whole team for making this server happening!!
