Both were awesome to behold (ok, maybe that's a little hyperbole - they were both damn cool). Kunark did give me more of the "fear for your life" feel across the course of adventuring through it; Velious seemed the more "cohesive" whole, though, in terms of its lore and "big picture" content. Ultimately, personally, that swings my vote to the Velious expansion.
