Being an older, casual player myself, I also absolutely agree with that.
Still, I am not in favor of any bonus xp events, probably because it reminds me of the time, when SOE started these things (certainly not before PoP, that's when things already went downhill).
Nevertheless, I appreciate the effort of the server admins. I just have a different opinion
