EDIT: Cleaned up my post's numbers, what I get trying to go from memory =P

My EQ folder sits at about 1.7 gigs after running the EQlite program (I have no idea if this is the same thing that Duxa's installer uses). I think there is some other "non classic" files that get used for certain things - Plane of Time? Equipment files? Not sure, I only skimmed the EQlite thread and heard those mentioned. So, I don't really trim it down beyond that. Didn't delete the sound files.

That's with the high res texture files, though, come to think of it. Stuff like that is going to alter your directory size, obviously. Screenshots are stored as 2-3 meg bitmaps IIRC (EDIT: Oh lord, at 1920x1080 they're almost 8 megs each) and will inflate your directory size if you have a couple hundred.

Link for the EQLite thread. Claims 1.35gb, which sounds about right for me running with the larger, high res zone files.

Anyways, like OP already said, this was useful when I was running off a standard 7200rpm HDD. It cut loading time down significantly, from about 16-20 seconds to about 8-12, depending. It was absolutely divine. Upgraded to an SSD, and I don't see much of a difference, still sat around 8-12 seconds for zoning so I just left it on the SSD.
