While most of the EPA's regulations are retarded... some legislation and regulation is pretty important in protecting the environment. Imagine big oil, nuclear power, and dozens of other industries unchecked by government regulation covering chemical disposal, air pollutants, etc.

Your other two points are also incorrect, although to a lesser degree. If you would like I can point out individuals that have succeeded in making the world a better place and that have tried to lessen government control.
